It took longer than I thought

But finally finished with the last touches here and there in the studio.

From this,

And this,

And this,

To this.

A new coat of paint, some quilts hung, machines moved. So different than before!

I am loving my new Millinium; she comes with all the bells and whistles this time.

Rhonda finished up a UFO last weekend so we have an empty spot on the design wall right now. I'm sure it will be filled soon ;)

Last weekend we had a 3 day training course at Quilted Cats; I'll blog that this weekend. We had so much fun; looking forward to doing it again!

it's beginning to feel a lot like Christmas

Did you know that there are only 89 days left until Christmas? How did that happen so quickly?

Spaces are quickly filling up for quilting in the studio. This year, if you want a quilt quilted by Quilted Cats Hideaway, we need to have it in studio by November 15th. Call us at 604-794-5955 to reserve your spot!

Now onto the quilt.

This is Judy's snowman swap quilt. Each snowman block was done by a different quilter in a swap. Lots of stippling and freehanded stars around and in the snowman blocks and a flirty snowflake in the border.

And for Hamels Quilt Store, this Fruitcake by Moda kit

Quilted with Holly Ribbon.

Getting back into the swing of things

And working on a few projects of my own. I had a charm square pack and I quickly made up this table runner and table quilt using a disappearing 9-patch.

I love how they both match the quilt Rhonda made me a few years ago.

Both quilted with Limetree.

Home Again

Dave and I spent the past two weeks at a lake in the middle of nowhere here in BC; it was wonderful. We took both Chai and Truffles this time, they were very entertaining.

I managed to get a few projects worked on while away. Rhonda got the Schnibbles Times Two book before I left. I had to bring it with me.

I picked the Nice Day quilt and here it is.

I hope to get it quilted soon. First, I need to finish assembling Millie2.
