Me time

I saw this quilt on Moda Bake Shop, I had to make it. Dave has been travelling off to Calgary and with a good friend spending a few days with me, it was time for some sewing. I had a Tonga Treat and with some yardage I had, I quickly got started.
My blocks are all sewn together and I'm eager to finish off this top. And decide what to do with all these leftover blocks.

This and That

I finished this little wall hanging up yesterday. It had been waiting to be quilted for to long.

And now I'll spend the rest of my day with this lovely quilt of Sandra's.

New Toys

I love gadgets; rulers, templates, gizmos, I love them all. And my newest toy? Circle Lord.

I have some charity quilts that I am practicing with the boards on.

Square Spirals

I can't wait to try this on a quilt of my own.

A Pleasant Surprise

When Barb came and picked up her quilt yesterday, she brought me a gift.

Rhonda quilted the cover quilt and pillow. She has one more in the book and I quilted the rest. So neat to see them all together.

Another long weekend

Has come and gone. We had a fabulous Easter with some out of town family spending the weekend with us. I even managed to get some piecing done on a quilt for myself!

Spring Market is just over a month away and I have started working on some of Barb's quilts for the show. I gave you a sneak peek of this quilt in my last post; here it is finished and ready for pick up.

I echo quilted around the leaf appliques; stippled in the rest. I put in a few leaf shapes here and there as well.

I copied the pattern in the border; sadly you can't even see the quilting but it's there.

And the backing fabric; love it.

Such a pretty quilt; I might have to make one too.

Can I blame

The fact that I haven't blogged in so long in the fact that I don't know how to find pictures on my computer once I put them in there? And Rhonda has been off for a few weeks and I was stuck! Let's get caught up.

I did take a Judy Niemeyer class, Dancing Batiks.

The colors are very bright and I am loving it.

I quilted up my welcome wallhanging,

I've started quilting Barb's quilts for Spring Market. Here's a sneak peek of the one currently on my machine,

Time to get it finished and start on the next one!
