Have you gotten the latest copy of Quiltermaker Magazine?

See that quilt in the middle? I quilted it.

It's oh so very exciting to see your name in a magazine.

Congrats to Barb on another lovely quilt pattern and thank you for choosing me as your quilter.

Dave and I went camping for the weekend. It was lovely to get away, and only a short hour drive from our home. Because the drive was so short, we brought the cats with us; that always makes a camping trip more fun.

I got a few more of my embroidered sewing machines finished.

3 down, 3 more to go.

I framed up another embroidery project that I had just finished as well.

It's so bright and cheery in my kitchen.

Today, I have the first of many fall market quilts to do.

I'll show you more when I can.

Here kitty, kitty

I did two cute cat quilts this week. This first one was pieced and embroidered by Hilda.

How cute are these blocks?

I showed a sneak peek of this quilt a few weeks ago. I got some new Circle Lord boards, one being bubbles that I have been wanting to play with and I knew this was the quilt to try it on.

I love the effect this pattern makes and can't wait to put it on some more quilts.

Sheila pieced this beautiful braid quilt and did it all in yummy flannels.

I love the richness of the colors.

Home again, home again

Dave and I returned home yesterday from Calgary. We had a lovely time visiting our son and catching up with friends.

I was able to get some embroidery done while we were away.

First up, I got the first block of my sewing machine quilt finished.

And I started another too.

Now I need to decide if I am going to play more today or do some work.

Road Trip

It's a long weekend here in BC; today is BC day. Dave and I are off to Calgary to visit our son and daughter in law.

Erica was out in February and wanted to make the same wall hangings I made last fall.

Dare I say that once Erica went home these sat waiting and waiting for me to get them quilted?

I kept the quilting simple and went with a water stitch.

I didn't know what color Erica would want for the binding so I packed some black, the red she used for the birds and the white background and will bind them when we get there.
