Sidetracked

I spent Friday at Wineberry Fabrics.  I took a class by Maureen Wood teaching the Judy Niemeyer pattern Bali Bed Runner. Cutting for this class took me almost a full two days so not a lot of quilting happened here last week. Also on Thursday, there was another car accident at the corner by our home that took the power lines out so we had no power all day. Seems that is almost a monthly occurrence now.

So I haven't had a chance to work on my disappearing 4patch but today is another story.

I have it all loaded on my machine and ready to go.

It didn't turn out very big but will make a perfect wall hanging.

I'm planning doing some quilting just in the squares. Not sure if I'll need to add more in; I'll decide as I go.
Happy Saturday!

Do you remember

When I posted about all the Christmas table runners that I discovered unquilted?(read about them here) Some I passed onto some friends that sew for charities, and a few I kept. I even managed to quilt one before Christmas!

I love this runner. Why I never finished it is beyond me.
Lots of fun custom work to finish it up.

I love the flower most of all.

Staying with the overdo Christmas gifts, I made this for a friend of mine.

I love the silver embroidery thread.

Lastly, some quick table runners that become more Christmas presents.

The pattern was a free download from the All People Quilt and you can find it here.

I've gotten the top of my disappearing 4patch finished and hope to get it quilted today. Stay tuned!

Playtime

I had fun last week playing with my Circle Lord templates.
A pretty feathered wreath

It looks a lot better with matching thread.

And these fun interlocking circles

Sorry the pictures are dark; I am not the best photographer!

I also finally got the moose wallhangings finished.

I kept the quilting simple with some echoing in the background fabric

And swirls in the border

I finished the binding on my son in laws last night. His birthday is next month so I think I'll hang onto it until than. He's already waited so long for it, what's a few more weeks?

Remember Me?

You know you've been away from your blog too long when you go to a guild meeting and people ask why your blog hasn't been updated lol. My apologies! It's not that I haven't been doing anything quilty, it's just that I haven't taken the time to blog about it.

I have been spending time playing with my Circle Lord templates this week. I might show pictures; I haven't decided yet. What I will show you is a new quilt in the works.

We had the entire inside of our house painted just before Christmas and now I need all new quilts to hang to work with the new paint colours. I have wanted to do a disappearing 4-patch for a while now. I was involved in a 5inch square swap in November; no excuse not to start.

But for today I have a different plan.

I made two of these moose wall hangings so many years ago I don't even remember. One was for Dave, the other for our son in law. I think it's time to get them finished up!
