Quiet time

I know it's been quiet here on the blog but I have been busy. Just not with quilting. With the beautiful non-wintery weather we've been experiencing, I have been spending time outside in the garden getting it ready for spring flowers. I even went and washed all the windows myself on the weekend. And I just might be debating repainting some rooms inside also. What is it with spring-time and renovations?

I have been quilting. I've been working away on a little something for me. It's just taking a lot longer than I had originally expected it to take.

See you soon.

A Quiet Week

And yet lots of things getting done.

I finished this fantastic sampler quilt for Edna.

Edna chose Egyptian Eye; I love the effect it gives to the quilt.

Delores made this for her grandson.

I did the Eye on this one also.

Carol's lovely batik quilted with Daisy3.

And a little finish for myself.

I ditched in all the squares and around the border.

My favorite part is the mini Dresden; just adorable.

Typically, January is our slowest month.  It's been nice to catch up on one or two things of my own.
I finished up some new embroidery.

And I made this wallhanging.

I also quilted this huge quilt for Dot. It was so big it almost didn't fit on my machine.

Dot picked Baptist Fan; perfect for a traditional quilt.

I have another large quilt to finish today; even bigger than Dots. Wish me luck!

What was interesting about our Christmas rush this year was the size of the quilts. We ended up with 15 king-size quilts that were to be Christmas presents; craziness!

Betty pieced this lovely quilt.

Betty went with the panto Wildflower.

I did not get a good picture of this fabulous quilt by Sheila.

This quilt was so huge that it almost didn't fit on my machine! Sheila went with one of my favorite pantos, Featheration.

Lastly, this lovely sampler by Irene.

On this one, I went simple and used Water.
Just lovely.

New Year Sale CONTINUED!!

Due to the crazy weather on Monday and the fact that we had no power for almost 2 days, our New Year Sale(details here) will be continued THIS Friday, January 9th.

I realized that I hadn't posted the Christmas presents that I did for this year. And 3 of them will have to wait to be shown until Christmas this year as I packed everything away before I took pictures.

I made this wall hanging for my daughter in law.

And this one for Rhonda.

I managed to finish off work on the 19th of December; way later than I had hoped but I got this quilt finished for Hamels.

I minor customed this one and stayed off all the applique.

Now that the power is back, it's time to get working!
