Spider Web

Halloween is coming and I love using the Spider Web pantograph on Halloween themed quilts.

Faye did this embroidery quilt.

The panto looks fabulous on it.

Carol's grand-daughter made this quilt. And it's her first quilt!

Super cute with the spider webs.

Now it's time to get back to Christmas quilting!

Weekend Sewing

Dave spent Saturday off discovering a new fishing lake so I had the day to spend uninterrupted with my sewing machine.

I got this fun charm quilt finished.

And I finished up this Scrappy Trip quilt that I started when we were camping.

I used a jelly roll and love how the colours compliment each other.

Now it's time to get to work! Happy Monday.

This weekend

Is the Calgary Creative Stitches and Crafting show and usual, Hamels has a booth. I finished up this quilts earlier in the week and got them back to Hamels in time to make the trek out to Calgary for the show.

I love this snowman.

I wanted to keep the quilting simple to not take away from the piecing so I used the panto Flirtatious.

These stars are lovely.

He's adorable.

I love this modern quilt.

I wanted to keep the quilting modern and went with the Circle Lord board ZigZag.

This next quilt just screamed for 'old fashioned' quilting.

I went with another Circle Lord board, Baptist Fans.

And lastly, this sampler quilt.

I wanted a more vintage feel so I went with Floral Meander.

Weekend fun

I found some sewing time on the weekend.

I have the last few blocks pieced; just have to find some more time to sew the rest together.

And now for some fun.

This is our linen closet at the top of our stairs.

It was a huge closet. Was being the key word.

We knocked the wall out and are coming into the closet almost the entire way. Also going into the main bathroom to the left just under 2feet.

This picture is looking for the bathroom towards the closet doors. That's going to be all a gorgeous shower in a few weeks.

The end result?

A new ensuite bathroom that is going to be so wonderful.

Quilt Sampler

Some exciting news! In the current issue of Quilt Sampler is our local quilt store Hamels. And in the article, it features a quilt that Rhonda quilted.

You can read about it here on Rhonda's blog.

It's been a crazy few weeks here. We had house guests for a week, then Dave and I went away camping. Among all that, we have a pretty large renovation happening, I'll have pictures for you later this week.

I quilted this fabulous quilt for Judy before everything went busy.

Isn't it fabulous? Judy wanted circles so I went with Swirls.

This next quilt was pieced by Gail. She actually bought the quilt kit from Jiudy.

The pattern Gail picked is a very old Keryn Emmerson pantograph. So old that I can't find it anywhere on line.

The pattern was perfect for the quilt. And also the first time I have ever used it. I can tell you that it won't be the last!
