I posted about this quilt last fall but I had sent it to my son before I had taken some pictures.

Look at that, no snow in Calgary!

This quilt was so fun to do. I used 2 layer cakes and just randomly put the mustaches on.

I quilted it with Loop the Loop and used a great minkee as the backing.

I also quilted this lovely quilt for Dianna.

Dianna chose the panto Erin. It is such a great pattern and need to use it more often.

Christmas time

We've been getting quite a few Christmas quilts in lately. Either quilts that weren't finished for Christmas last year or kits that were given for gifts and quickly made up.

Lynn made this lovely quilt.

Isn't it pretty?

A tight stipple around the appliques and a swirly pattern in the quilt body. Perfect to let the piecing shine.

I'm looking forward to the weekend; I have a few projects of my own I am hoping to wrap up and show you next week.
Happy weekend!

I love this quilt by Angela. It is the Fireworks pattern from Thimbleblossom.

The blocks are nice and big; similar to the Swoon quilts.

I also finished this lovely batik quilt for Carol.
I think I need to add this to my ever growing, quilts to make list.

So many quilts, so little time.

Quilt Shows

Hamels Fabrics has started with the quilt show season and here are a few of the store samples I recently quilted for them.

I love this first one. It just begged to have feathers quilted on it.

This is a class being offered at Hamels right now called Dessert Time.

With this fabric line, Seaside was the perfect choice for quilting.

I love the backing fabric.

And this adorable Valentine's quilt.

I think I need to go check out some of these shows.

Dave was away for part of the weekend and I got a good start on a new embroidery project.

I also quilted up this adorable panel for Linda's granddaughter

So cute.

Some quilts

Take my breath away. This stunning log cabin by Ginger is one of those quilts.

Absolutely gorgeous.
I wish I had taken a picture of the backing as well; Ginger used all the leftovers in the back.

My favorite Egyptian Eye was a perfect choice for the quilting.

Simply beautiful.

Vacation Time

Dave and I usually go away the first week or so of March. This year we decided to do a staycation at home instead. Dave spent most of the time fishing but we had some lovely days spent wandering around Harrison Hot Springs and heading into Vancouver.

I did manage to get my spring wall hanging finished. Well, the top is together.

I should be playing with my new embroidery patterns but I haven't gotten much past playing with the colouring.

But first, I need to get this finished.

Dave is on holidays this week. We were supposed to go away and visit some friends but the timing didn't work so a staycation for now it is.

I got another of my Crazy Quilt Lady hangings done,

I'll probably finish the binding tonight while watching TV.

I also picked up a new quilt kit and I started that on the weekend.

My favorite part is that all the applique pieces are already cut out and ready to go.
Stay tuned!
